AirPlay to Mac is not supported on older mac hardware. The support list is given in the Apple website. My mac is not in the support list. But there is a way to get this working using Elmedia Player. Elmedia Player is an audio, video player for macOS. It has AirPlay option. Enabling it and keeping the app open will show it as one of the destinations on the iPhone for AiPlay. Also I find the video color to appear more vivid than IINA.
