This is my most priced art certificate, an achievement I had during my school days. I went to compete for Sahodaya cartooning competition when in XI th standard. The Sahodaya competition is held among other CBSE schools belonging to the same region. There were 41 schools against which I competed and won first, which is the outstanding. The topic was India at Olympics. There was Olympics at that time and India won bronze medal for shooting. So the cartoon was based on that.

This is also the first outstanding for my school for cultural fest in its history. For that I also received cash prize during Annual Day from the school.

I did not participate much in any art competitions after school because of all the hassle it comes with. I will have to do artwork for college functions, and many other events which is a drag because I was into computers than art. Art wasn't my priority.

I picked ActionScript 3.0 and Flash platform for my college project and for my first job because it has the right blend of art and programming. Graphics on the web at that time was rudimentary. That has changed with HTML5 with Canvas, SVG and WebGL. Web development now has the right mix of art and programming if you look for it.

My interest in art has revived now. Hence these art related blog posts.
